Don McPhee
£100.00
A classic shot of the Flying Scotsman, at Grange-over-Sands between Carnforth in Lancashire and Ravenglass in Cumbria, taken in the 1970s.
The Flying Scotsman set two world records for steam traction, becoming the first locomotive to reach 100mph in 1934 and the longest nonstop run by a steam locomotive, when it ran for 422 miles in 1989. The engine was retired from regular service in 1963 and is now part of the National Railway Museum collection.
