Rising interest rates have been a recurring story this year and much of the media discourse seemed to focus on the negative impacts this was having for those with unfixed mortgages. Renters tended to be left out of this conversation despite the fact that in many cases they were bearing the brunt of any further costs on their landlord’s mortgages as well.
