Upon his death, there was so much brilliant writing about Sir Bobby Charlton. I decided to create a cartoon based on the words of Bobby himself – a quote from his autobiography that reveals the lifelong impact of surviving the Munich Air Disaster. Images from his career are interspersed with flashbacks to the disaster, with increasingly heavy snow reflecting the dementia that impacted the last few years of his amazing life.
